With a team of around 30 employees nationally and ongoing expansion underway, they are entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. As the organisation continues to expand and formalise its internal processes, there is a growing need to strengthen HR capability, introduce best-practice frameworks and build a more structured and scalable people function. About the Role Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created Human Resources Manager role will lead and build the HR function from the ground up. You will oversee all aspects of HR including policy development, employee relations, performance frameworks, recruitment and culture initiatives. This is a rare opportunity to step into a clean-slate role where your expertise will directly influence how the organisation matures and strengthens its HR foundations. It is hands-on, people-focused and ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy and variety. The role is anticipated to be 3-4 days per week (with flexibility to increase or decrease), and may evolve over time depending on business needs. Duties Create, implement and maintain HR policies and frameworks (WFH, travel, expenses, compliance, onboarding, etc.) Support the business through a period of organisational change following acquisition Provide advice on employee relations matters, grievances and performance Lead end-to-end recruitment across corporate, engineering, legal and operations teams Coordinate performance review cycles and support managers with coaching Oversee HR administration including records, HR systems and payroll accuracy Maintain a collaborative and positive workplace culture across multiple states Prepare HR reporting and insights for senior leadership Skills & Experience If you thrive in a standalone HR role and enjoy building structure from the ground up, this could be a great fit for you. You will bring professionalism, warmth and a highly collaborative approach, with the confidence to influence and guide at all levels of the business. 6+ years’ experience as an HR Generalist Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field Experience establishing or strengthening HR policies and frameworks Strong knowledge of Fair Work and employment legislation High attention to detail and strong judgement Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work with a diverse group of highly intelligent professionals This is a part-time role (approximately 3-4 days per week), with scope to adjust hours for the right candidate. The Sydney office is located on the Northern Beaches, the ideal start is early in the new year, and applicants must have full working rights in Australia.
