About the Role We’re seeking a passionate Community Development Officer to strengthen outcomes for children and families in Playford. This role focuses on community development through co‑design, partnerships, and capacity building, while supporting programs within our Child & Family Wellbeing team. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies that improve child and family wellbeing. Build strong partnerships with schools, health services, community groups, and government agencies. Lead co‑design processes to amplify the voices of children and families. Deliver and evaluate community development projects within budget and timelines. Advocate for inclusive, family‑friendly practices across Council and networks. Identify funding opportunities and prepare submissions. About You Diploma or Degree in Community Development, Social Work, Early Childhood, Human Services, or related field. Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role. Strong communication and project management skills. Knowledge of Child Safe Environment legislation and trauma‑informed practices. Current SA Class C Driver’s Licence. Mandatory Requirements Working With Children Check & National Criminal History Clearance. Child Safe Environments training. First Aid certification. Why Join Us?
