Role Description This is the perfect opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to step into their first Head Chef position. As the Head Chef at One Pear Tree, you will lead a close knit kitchen and oversee all daily food preparation with a focus on creative brunch dishes, fresh baked items, and an expressive, high energy cafe menu. This role is hands on and suited to a chef who values quality and consistency, and thrives in a fast paced brunch environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook fresh baked goods and modern brunch dishes Manage breakfast and lunch service including hot and cold menu items Maintain high standards of food presentation, taste, and consistency Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met Lead and inspire a supportive kitchen team Oversee kitchen prep, stock rotation, and ordering Train and supervise kitchen assistants as needed Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen at all times Qualifications & Experience Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) Food Safety Supervisor certificate (preferred) Dough handling / pizza making experience (preferred) Breakfast Chef experience (preferred) Proven leadership or supervisory experience 2–3 years of relevant industry experience Flexible availability Valid Working Visa or Australian Citizenship Why Join Us?
