Collections Officer (Commercial Collections) Collections Officer Commercial Collections (Multiple roles) North Sydney & Sydney based role $80K - $100K + Super + Incentives Hybrid The Client Our client is a rapidly growing FinTech offering a variety of commercial lending products to serve the needs of Australian SMEs. They pride themselves on their customer service and being a great place to work. They are looking for multiple Collectors from early/mid-stage to late-stage / recoveries (the spicier end of the ledger), they only hire top-tier talent in the market. The role The role has the following responsibilities: Manage your day‑to‑day early and mid‑stage collections or late‑stage / recoveries portfolio Contact customers via telephone, email & SMS Negotiate payments and payment arrangements Maintain customer payment records & update systems Take meticulous notes on each customer account Strive to hit agreed KPIs Continuously look to improve the current processes Ad hoc tasks as required The perfect candidate The perfect candidate will have the following: Minimum 2 years in a similar role Commercial collections experience (ideal but not essential) A strong customer service focus Solid negotiating skills Demonstrated initiative, drive, enthusiasm and a team player Excellent organisational and time management skills High attention to detail Ability to work well with other people and build good relationships Skip‑tracing experience if looking for a late‑stage recovery role Australian work rights required Remuneration Remuneration is between $80k - $100k + Super + Incentives, depending on experience. The more experienced collectors with late‑stage commercial experience will be looking at $100K + Super + Incentives. The client also provides bonuses to staff based on individual and company performance.
