We are currently looking to continue our ongoing growth with the addition of a full-time Sales and Business Development candidate, to work in our Sydney Office as part of our Sales team supporting our product range. The candidate will report to the Sales Manager, handle customer queries, meet and exceed targets, work closely with other vendor stakeholder organisations and application engineering team. Key Responsibilities of the role include: To attain the performance goals and KPI’s as agreed with Pacific Controls Management. The goals and targets will include orders, profitability and strategic growth targets related to business development & account penetration. Business development – New product adoption and white spaces. Business analyses & Strategic Planning, Progress reports on new market Business development initiatives. Ensure the use of sales technologies, such as a CRM, correctly for forecast and reporting. Plan and preside over weekly sales team meetings. Proficient in Solution Selling, competence in Consultative Selling skills at various customer levels. Leverage existing and develop new relationships with key executive decision-makers to successfully position Pacific Control as a preferred Automation Solutions provider through our overall product portfolio and execution capabilities. To extend and develop our Control Automation Solutions Business into new customers, market and industry segments with key focus but not limited to Core industries and other nominated white spaces through the project pursuit process. Develop, drive and lead Market analysis in identification of product portfolio gaps and needs to complement the Company existing portfolio and execution capabilities. Recommendation to expand the product range with new products and agreements with product business partners. Develop in conjunction with sales management, all related planning material, marketing materials and messaging in support of new product rollout, & both Principle and internal strategic growth initiatives. To participate in scheduled Managers and Sales Meetings to ensure all aspects of Business Management and Sales are fully understood and implemented in conformance with OHSE requirements and legislation. The successful candidate will also have: A bachelor’s or masters degree in engineering (ideally in Mechanical/Chemical/Instrumentation). Preferably 5+ years of experience with pressure relief valves, regulators, control valves, automation; however, we welcome applications from candidates with fewer years of experience provided they are a good fit for the role. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Multitasking and organisational skills. Microsoft Office 365 experience particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar CRM Tools. Preferably, experienced working with valve industries (Control, Regulator, Safety relief valves or Isolation valves). Strong analytical mindset and ability to identify the business opportunities. From time to time, you may be required to travel domestically and interstate to attend customer face-to-face meetings and sales engagements.
