Sales and Business Development Manager (Australia) Join the dynamic team at OQ Technology as our Sales and Business Development Manager for Australia We are a cutting‑edge company in the satellite telecommunications industry, passionate about innovation and connectivity. In this role you will be responsible for developing and expanding our presence specifically in the Australian market. Candidates should already live in Australia or have strong Australian market experience and be willing to relocate. Responsibilities In‑depth understanding and execution of the company go‑to‑market strategy (GTM) and team charter to achieve agreed objectives. Ideate, develop, and execute a sales pipeline that delivers above‑market growth while managing priorities and overcoming challenges, with a focus on the Australian market. Meet and overachieve revenues and backlog objectives. Provide intimate understanding of market trends, customer segmentation, and competitor activity to determine target customers and sales planning. Provide market intelligence feedback and support generic business planning and execution processes. Assess and validate market strategy needs for differentiated global/regional services. Define strategic sales initiatives for the company and its affiliates, generate sales leads and close contracts in accordance with revenue objectives. Develop sales pipeline forecasting for existing products and services, and propose improvements to influence investment decisions. Identify commercial leads, elaborate client proposals, negotiate offers, execute sales, and manage relationships with existing and potential customers. Negotiate and close contracts, simplifying complex agreements. Drive new business development for Australian partners and other regions under Regional Sales scope. Report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in sales and business development of L/S‑Band satellite solutions into key M2M markets (Oil & Gas, Utilities, Maritime, Transport). Must have developed new business across Australia. Strategic thinker with a hunter mentality and strong prospecting skills. Strong professional sales and presentation skills. Proven ability to negotiate and close deals. Successful and quantifiable new‑business sales track record; experienced in exceeding targets. Ability to execute strategic initiatives and close business autonomously and proactively. Ability to design and implement a business development strategy aligned with corporate goals. Ability to manage external account projects while aligning internal resources. Strong written, communication and organizational skills. University education in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related field (MBA considered an advantage). Languages: English required; additional language of the region a plus.
