You’ll work with clinicians, executives, and NSW Health partners to develop evidence-based service plans that respond to community needs and future demand. Your focus will be on creating sustainable models of care, improving access, and ensuring services are aligned with strategic priorities. The role is based primarily at Eastern Campus, Liverpool Hospital, with occasional travel to other SWSLHD sites, ensuring you remain connected to the broader health district. You will work Monday to Friday, with the opportunity for flexible work arrangements negotiated with your manager. What You'll be Doing Lead and oversee the development of high-quality health service plans for SWSLHD. Provide strategic and evidence-based advice to executives, the Ministry of Health, and other stakeholders. Manage and guide complex planning processes that inform business cases, redevelopment projects, and service improvements. Engage clinicians, consumers, and community representatives to ensure plans are inclusive and patient-centred. Supervise and mentor Planning staff, fostering capability, innovation, and quality in all planning activities. Analyse and interpret health data and policy directions to inform service priorities and strategic alignment. Extensive professional experience in health services planning, including processes to support asset strategic planning and infrastructure development. Demonstrated experience in leading, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating services at a strategic, facility, program and service level, with demonstrated experience in developing partnerships and working effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including clinicians, community members, other agencies and managers. Sound knowledge and experience in applying NSW Government and Ministry of Health planning frameworks, funding models, directions, priorities and processes. This includes extensive experience in the use of health planning computer-based applications and information systems. High level leadership, communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's licence (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class licence (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) licence within three months of appointment.
