Senior Manager, Strategy & Planning - Health Services – Mercy Health Australia Employment Type: Permanent full time Location: Hybrid working available with travel to Richmond Corporate office, Heidelberg Hospital and Werribee Hospital. Contact: For a full position description, contact Katrina Rushworth at About the Role Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy & Planning, this role provides strategic leadership across Mercy Health’s health services portfolio. In the first six months the focus includes: Overseeing the development of the Health Services Strategy, led by an external consultant, ensuring alignment with Mercy Health’s Strategic Framework and engagement with stakeholders. Leading coordination across Mercy Health’s two Local Health Service Networks (LHSNs) to integrate collaboration and align with each network’s Statement of Expectations and strategic priorities. Support implementation of Mercy Health’s Integrated Planning Approach, aiding teams in developing annual business plans and KPIs, and providing strategic advice to Executive and Board audiences through briefing papers and presentations. Key Responsibilities Oversee development of the Health Services Strategy in partnership with an external consultant. Lead internal coordination and engagement across Mercy Health’s LHSNs. Support integrated planning and business performance across Health Services. Provide strategic advice and reporting to Executive and Board audiences. Contribute to key strategic initiatives and projects. About You To be successful you will bring: Postgraduate qualifications in health services management, strategy and planning, or a related field. Proven leadership experience in complex organisational settings (e.g. public health, government, large NFPs). Strong commercial acumen and exceptional business writing skills. Demonstrated experience in strategy development, execution, and performance monitoring. Ability to prepare high‑impact reports and business cases for Executive and Board audiences. You will also be required to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining, a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
