New Directions Australia – Marrickville NSW New Directions Australia is a market leader and wholesaler in the essential oils, natural and organic skin care, cosmetics, and wellbeing products. New Directions also provide high end packaging to the cosmetic and fashion industries. We are seeking a highly motivated, Laboratory Associate to be part of our Quality Control Team, based in our Laboratory in Marrickville. As a Laboratory Associateyou will assist the Quality Control Manager with carrying out quality functions to ensure that all products and raw materials conform to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to 1. Review and assess technical documents such as TDS, SDS and Manufacturing Flowchart as provided by supplier as part of Regulatory check. 2. investigate Enquiries related to Raw Materials 3. Process shelf-life extension requests for Raw Materials in a timely manner. 4. Prepare and write relevant Raw Material information required for web description. 6. Conduct in-house routine calibration to ensure all lab equipment is well validated and capable of delivering a reliable result. 7. Sample, test, release and author CoA on all incoming Raw Materials as required. 8. Ensure Laboratory Consumable Inventory is monitored regularly, and inventory levels updated in SAP. 9. Ensure a high standard of housekeeping. We are seeking an individual who has the following skills and experience Experience within a Laboratory Basic knowledge of MS Office skills and proficient at Excel Degree in Science i.e. Chemistry, Microbiology, food Science or similar field Prior experience in personal care or cosmetics is preferred but not essential Strong, written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to details and problem-solving skills Well organised and detail oriented. Ability to work autonomously. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Can-do attitude and self-motivated Strong team player What is in it for you?
