Glencore’s McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc‑lead mine with a long future. You’ll find our mine in the Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola. We produce and process zinc, lead, and silver from our open‑cut mine. It is then stored and transported to our Bing Bong loading facility and shipped to our customers worldwide. MRM’s Perks and Benefits Long Mine Life Roster of 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 days off Permanent position with McArthur River Mine Employer Super Contributions : 13% Superannuation Career Development: Opportunities for advancement within a global organization Salary Sacrificing Options : Vehicles, super, and more Benefits Program : Excellent rewards program offering discounts on global and national brands, as well as health insurance What we are looking for Safely and efficiently operate front‑end loaders and other heavy machinery to load, unload, and move materials and products Maintain mobile plant and fixed plant equipment at the port facilities Conduct pre‑operational checks to ensure optimal performance Assist with the day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of the Bing Bong facilities Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment and ensure there is no contamination to the environment and team Work with the wider team to meet production targets and deadlines Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue and company guidelines Set and maintain housekeeping standards What you can offer Experience working in the mining industry or in port operations using 980 loader, forklift and skid steer Trade qualified Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or Mechanical Fitter Experience and licensed to operate up to a 20T Excavator, Forklift, Skid Steer, Loader and Crane Operator Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform and MR licences are highly desirable Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals Ability to pass pre‑employment medical checks, including drug and alcohol testing and chest X‑ray Experience or ability to work in a remote location At MRM, we are ‘Territory first’ and will prioritise applications from Territorians or those ready to relocate.
