Access Covers Australia Pty Ltd, a leading precast concrete manufacturer, is seeking skilled tradespeople to join our busy, safety-focused precast concreting division. Our team produces some of the most technically challenging and bespoke precast concrete pits and structures in the industry. About the Role We are looking for a skilled Formwork Carpenter to join our production team. You will be responsible for setting up formwork for casting concrete pits and other structural components. This includes both custom timber stick building and the use of modular/proprietary formwork systems such as Acrow, Peri, Doka, and others. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret shop drawings and set out formwork accordingly. Ability to read and interpret precast shop drawings, including cast-in items, chamfers, rebates, and tolerance notes. Experience setting out and constructing moulds for panels, beams, columns, pits, and other precast elements. Skilled in working with timber, plywood, steel moulds, and modular proprietary formwork systems (Perri, Acrow, Doka, Cassaform) Ability to measure, cut, assemble, and strip formwork accurately and efficiently. Competency in installing formliners, blockouts, voids, rebates, drips, nibs, and ferrule patterns. Work efficiently with reinforcement and concrete teams to ensure flawless pours. Maintain high standards of dimensional accuracy and finish quality. Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors. About You Understanding of precast workflows, sequencing, and daily production targets. Experience with cast-in hardware: ferrules, couplers, foot anchors, bar chairs, earthing plates, hauling eyes, cast-in plates, grout tubes, starter bars. Knowledge of tolerances and surface finish requirements for architectural and structural precast. Familiarity with mould preparation, including sealing, cleaning, release agents, and surface protection. Proven ability to problem-solve on nonstandard or custom mould setups. Punctual, reliable, and a cooperative team player. Safety conscious and able to follow safety procedures rigorously. Skilled use of power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, and nail guns. Familiarity with overhead cranes, lifting equipment, chains, slings, and load-handling procedures (with dogging or rigging ticket preferred). Knowledge of basic workshop machinery such as panel saws and bench tools. Experience following QA processes Understanding of SWMS and OH&S requirements in a heavy industrial environment. Ability to work within tight tolerances and maintain consistent accuracy. Preferred Qualifications Certificate III in Carpentry, Joinery, or Formwork/Falsework (preferred not mandatory). White Card (mandatory). Dogging or Rigging ticket (highly desirable). Forklift licence (LF). What We Offer Consistent full-time hours with ongoing work.
