Position: Barber (Hairdresser) Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $76,000 to $79,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Manor Lakes VIC 3024 Our client is seeking Barber (Hairdresser) to join their salon located in Manor Lakes, Victoria. Duties and Responsibilities Client Services & Customer Care Greet clients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable and welcome. Consult with clients to understand their hairstyling preferences and provide expert recommendations. Provide exceptional customer service to build and maintain strong client relationships. Address client inquiries regarding hair care and styling techniques. Hair Styling & Cutting Duties Perform professional haircuts, trims, and shaving services using various techniques. Style hair using blow-dryers, straighteners, curling irons, and other tools. Provide beard trimming, shaping, and grooming services. Offer professional advice on styling products and hair care maintenance. Colouring & Chemical Treatments (If Applicable) Conduct consultations to determine clients’ colour preferences and assess hair health. Apply hair colouring techniques, including permanent and semi‑permanent dyes, highlights, and toning. Ensure the safe application of chemical treatments while maintaining hair integrity. Salon Maintenance & Hygiene Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the salon, including workstations, tools, and equipment. Follow salon health and safety regulations, including sterilizing tools and equipment. Keep an organized and well‑maintained salon space. Administrative & Operational Support Assist with reception duties, including scheduling appointments and handling payments. Maintain stock levels for hair products, tools, and supplies. Participate in promotional activities and marketing efforts for the business. Stay updated with the latest hair trends, tools, and styling techniques through training and professional development. Requirements Certificate III including at least two years of on‑the‑job training, or Certificate IV in Hairdressing At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed At least 12 months proven experience as a Hairdresser or Barber. Strong knowledge of hair cutting, styling, and grooming techniques. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple clients efficiently. Strong attention to detail and creativity in hairstyling.
