Ashmore Palms Holiday Village – Ashmore QLD A large Australian family-owned and operated Holiday Village is looking for a motivated and experienced Maintenance/Grounds/Gardens person to join the Ashmore Palms Holiday Village Team . The Job As part of the maintenance and grounds team, you'll have a diverse role involving a wide variety of tasks critical to the running of a large-scale holiday village. Included tasks include general accommodation/facility maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, carpentry, painting/decorating as well as swimming pool, vehicle and village plant & equipment maintenance. The successful applicant will possess a combination of skills and experience that complements and supports both the Maintenance & Grounds functions and the business as a whole. Applicants will be required to be reliable, extremely safety-oriented, and able to work unsupervised in a team environment. Experience within the tourism, hospitality and hotel/resort industries is an advantage. This is an annualised salaried position and requires commitment to rotating weekend shifts. Duties include Cabin and facility maintenance. Contribute to preventative maintenance programs and repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, swimming pool, vehicle, plant and equipment. Maintain the park’s appearance to a high standard (playgrounds, tennis court, walkways, front of house). Maintenance of all external areas including gardens, lawns, BBQs etc. Strict adherence to and support of WH&S objectives and systems. General cleaning around the park. Coordination of waste disposal – domestic & commercial. Liaising with our reception and housekeeping team, to ensure that all accommodation is up to a high-quality standard before guests arrive.
