Job description : Our client is a national organisation leading the charge in Energy & Carbon Services (ECS), environmental certificate programs, and commercial energy‑efficiency solutions. As the ECS division continues to grow, they’re looking for an Account Manager who thrives on combining technical understanding with commercial client partnership. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility across home and office, perfect for someone who enjoys collaborating closely with technical, compliance, and commercial teams. What You’ll Be Doing Managing and growing a portfolio of clients across ECS programs Supporting clients across ESS, VEU, REPS, ACCU, STC, and related schemes Identifying new opportunities and driving commercial growth Translating technical ECS and policy information into clear advice Collaborating with compliance, engineering, and commercial teams What You Bring Background in energy, carbon, sustainability, certificate programs, environmental consulting, or similar Ability to simplify technical ECS concepts for commercial clients Natural relationship builder with a proactive, curious mindset Comfortable working in a dynamic, compliance‑driven environment Equal strength in acquiring new clients and nurturing existing ones Whats On Offer Attractive base and uncapped commissions Future leadership pathway Hybrid flexibility Compressed hours option A supportive, knowledgeable team working across several national programs If you’re passionate about sustainability, energy markets, and relationship‑focused commercial work, apply today. Qualifications 1. Relevant Tertiary Education (Preferred but not essential) One of the following (or equivalent experience) : Environmental Science Sustainability Energy / Environmental Engineering Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Physics Environmental Management Commerce or Economics with energy / sustainability exposure 2. Industry Certifications (Highly regarded, not required) Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) Certified Energy Manager (CEM) NABERS or Green Star accreditation GHG Accounting or Carbon Management training AASB sustainability reporting or carbon accounting courses 3. Experience-Based Equivalents Candidates without formal qualifications may be suitable if they have : Hands‑on experience with certificate schemes (ESS, VEU, REPS, ACCU, STC) Proven work in energy efficiency, carbon services, or sustainability consulting Demonstrated success in client‑facing, technical advisory or commercial roles Why is This a Great Opportunity : This role puts you at the centre of Australias energy and carbon transition.
