Join to apply for the Principal Project Officer - Preschool Reform Agreement role at Department of Education, Western Australia Primary, Early Childhood and Education Support (PECES) are seeking to establish a pool of Principal Project Officers for fixed-term, full-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. The Role We are looking for Principal Project Officers to work on the implementation of the Preschool Reform Agreement. In this role you’ll lead and manage complex Statewide Service Projects, collaborating closely with the Primary, Early Childhood and Education Support Team. Statewide Services provides services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development. The Primary, Early Childhood and Education Support Directorate provides coordinated services and expertise with a focus on schools identified as requiring support to improve achievement of K‑6 students. About You Strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives concurrently. Expertise in early childhood education, including pedagogical leadership. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and communities. The capacity to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision‑Making within 6 months of appointment and every 3 years thereafter. Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement.
