Principal Advisor (Project Controls Office) – Department of Transport and Main Roads Join the Rail Infrastructure Delivery Office (RIDO) on the New Albion Station Project team as a highly motivated and experienced Principal Advisor. In this role, you will support the Manager (Project Controls Office) to lead key business management functions, focusing on governance, project management, and reporting. Responsibilities Prepare high‑quality project management plans and project performance reports by integrating, analysing and reporting on information across the project, emerging trends and issues. Interrogate systems to source required information, applying methods to ensure the credibility of reporting and the evidence sourced. Lead the identification, analysis and reporting of the project's risks and compliance functions. Lead governance secretariat duties, including liaising with key internal and external stakeholders for the preparation of meeting materials, minutes, briefs, submissions and reports. Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with discipline leads across the project team and wider department to ensure integration with other reporting processes and a best‑practice approach. Lead the prioritisation, management and delivery of set tasks and activities with an emphasis on meeting deadlines within quality, cost and time constraints. Qualifications We’re looking for a strategic thinker with strong experience in project governance and business management. You should be comfortable working in fast‑paced, complex environments, possess excellent communication skills, and bring a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
