As a Principal Advisor in our Eligibility Assessment team, you will play a pivotal role in upholding this mission by leading a team of dedicated professionals and ensuring the highest standards of assessment and decision-making. About The Role As the Principal Advisor, you will lead the charge in reviewing, allocating, monitoring, and prioritising. Your Key Responsibilities Lead a team of administrative officers who provide essential support to the Eligibility Assessment Team. Analyse and manage workflows within the Eligibility Assessment team, ensuring workloads are prioritised and assessments are completed efficiently and meet key performance indicators. Review and approve blue card applications for individuals with assessable histories, according to requisite delegation and relevant legislation. Monitor and enhance the quality, consistency, and accuracy of assessments and recommendations. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, creating policies and procedures that reflect best practice principles. Provide expert advice on legislative and policy changes, ensuring alignment with the legislative mandate and operational outcomes. Prepare high‑quality strategic and operational documents, including briefing papers, reports, and submissions. Manage the complaints process, providing clear guidance and resolutions to ensure stakeholder satisfaction. Identify training needs, coordinate professional development, and foster a culture of learning and growth within the team. Analyse trends and risks, providing proactive advice and strategies to mitigate potential issues. Perform other duties to support the success of the team and organisation.
