Teacher Special Education - Murrumbidgee Regional High School - Wade NSW Department of Education – Griffith NSW Murrumbidgee Regional High School - Wade is a secondary school situated in Griffith with an enrolment of 460 students, including 100 students with an Aboriginal Heritage and 103 students with a non-English speaking background. In 2026 the school will be renamed back to its former name, Wade High School. The school continues to share linkages with Murrumbidgee High School – Griffith for the senior curriculum. As part of this restructure, the school has developed procedures to support student learning, including role statements and wellbeing systems to support student aspirations. The school includes an Aboriginal Learning Engagement Centre, a support unit with 5 classes overseen by a deputy principal instructional leader, and a Clontarf Academy to support the educational provision of Aboriginal boys. The school seeks to achieve future high academic performance, supported through strong curriculum and vocational pathways. Positioned at the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, Griffith is a sizable regional city offering diverse industries, cultural facilities, local sports teams, an airport, hospital, specialised facilities and wineries. Position Information Position: Teacher – Special Education (2 positions) at Murrumbidgee Regional High School – Wade, Griffith NSW. Applicants must have an unconditional full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education or be able to commence the application process concurrently with this application. WWCC clearance number must be included. Selection Criteria Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with autism and emotional disturbance. Capacity to work collaboratively within the Special Education faculty to improve student outcomes through evidence-based teaching practices and the development of quality, differentiated teaching and learning programs. Demonstrated ability to deliver quality lessons that differentiate the curriculum and engage all students in their learning. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
