Centacare Family Services Geraldton – Geraldton WA Are you passionate about making a difference in men’s lives through literacy and creative programs? Centacare Family Services is seeking a dedicated Hub Cap Literacy Tutor to join our Men’s Hub in Geraldton. This is a casual opportunity, working at the Mens Hub, 3 hours per week on a Wednesday from 1pm‑4pm. A remuneration package based on the SCHCADS Award 2010 will be offered based on skills and experience; level 3.1 casual rate of $48.31 /hour, plus superannuation. Key Responsibilities This role presents a unique and rewarding opportunity to serve as a literacy tutor for men, directly supporting their mental health and wellbeing. By equipping men with essential literacy skills, you will empower them to more confidently navigate daily life, access vital information, and build stronger connections within their families and communities. Develop and facilitate literacy and art programs for men accessing the Men’s Hub. Engage with participants, providing support and referrals to appropriate services. Promote Hub Cap’s services and men’s mental health and wellbeing within the community. Selection Criteria: Skills & Experience Formal qualifications or experience in literacy or teaching. Experience delivering literacy and education programs. Experience working with clients experiencing mental health conditions and/or AOD addiction. Ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds. Strong record‑keeping and report‑writing skills. Commitment to Centacare’s philosophy and values, contributing positively to an inclusive team environment. Proficiency with technology and case‑management systems to ensure accurate record‑keeping and client confidentiality. Closure between Christmas and New Year. Strong work‑life balance in a supportive team environment. Successful applicants will hold, or be able to obtain, a WA Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance no older than 12 months, and a current WA Driver’s License.
