About the role We have an exciting new opportunity for a HR Adviser to join our team for the 18-month fixed term contract (Parental Leave cover). Reporting to the HR Manager this position will provide generalist HR services and advice to the business across all regions in Australia and support the achievement of our strategic business goals. Key responsibilities Collaborate with leaders to understand their resourcing and capability needs and deliver end-to-end recruitment activities including employment and onboarding related activities. Actively engage in the design and implementation of system efficiencies and streamlining opportunities to support evolving organisational needs. Deliver suitable and timely employee relations advice and support. Champion the design and delivery of various initiatives including relevant training and development, diversity & inclusion activities, and attraction and retention initiatives. Facilitate seamless career development plans and pathways within the company, including but not limited to secondments, higher duties assignments, retirement transitions, employee movements and promotions. Partner with the HR Manager and broader business in various organisational development and industrial relations activities. Undertake relevant data analytics and reporting activities to gain suitable insights and provide informed advice. Skills and experience Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or related field. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in human resources generalist capacity. Strong familiarisation with relevant employment legislation and ability to interpret and translate to policies and procedures. Experience with working with various on premise and other technology-based HR systems. Exposure to resources, engineering or communications environment / industries is an advantage. Previous experience working across multiple jurisdictions, with a diverse group of technical, administrative and executive employees of varying levels of experience. Familiarisation with and ability to interpret enterprise agreements, employment contracts and modern awards. Experience with Enterprise agreement negotiation is an advantage, but not necessary. Intermediate skills across all Microsoft Office applications. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills coupled with the ability to build successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong organisational skills. Ability to maintain strong attention to detail and manage time effectively. Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
