Sales Specialist Gastroenterology (GI) - 12 mth contract Join to apply for the Sales Specialist Gastroenterology (GI) - 12 mth contract role at Olympus Corporation Olympus Australia is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Gastroenterology (GI) Sales Specialist to cover a 12-month maternity leave contract. This role offers the opportunity to manage a specialist portfolio of market leading products and make a meaningful impact on patient care across the Victorian territory. As a GI Sales Specialist, you will work closely with the Sales Manager to maximise sales performance, grow key accounts, and strengthen Olympus' market presence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, builds strong relationships, and is passionate about delivering solutions that support healthcare professionals. In this role, you will: Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and gross profit targets across the assigned GI portfolio. Promote the Olympus brand and collaborate with colleagues across the broader Victorian sales team. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Olympus GI products, their applications, and the competitive landscape. Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, proactively renewing existing equipment and driving new business opportunities. Maintain accurate territory plans, call cycles, customer profiles, sales forecasts and reporting. Provide insights on sales activities, market trends, competitive movements, funding opportunities, orders won/lost and pipeline development. Coordinate product demonstrations in collaboration with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and the loan/demo equipment controller. Support Olympus' reputation for excellent customer service by working closely with internal teams to resolve queries and ensure a high-quality customer experience. Attend training, conferences, trade shows and events as required, representing Olympus with professionalism. Actively contribute to a strong team culture and uphold Olympus' core values and quality standards (ISO 9002). Ideally, you will have: A medical or scientific background, with tertiary qualifications preferred. At least 3 years of field sales experience, ideally within medical devices, healthcare or a related field. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills. A drive to achieve results, with resilience, tenacity and a strong customer focus. The ability to work collaboratively within a high‑performing team. A passion for delivering outstanding service and building long‑term relationships.
