About Us At Birch, we are a privately owned Australian family business who sell wholesale craft and sewing items to businesses around Australia and Australasia. The company was established in 1926 and is in its 100th year. We pride ourselves on developing and finding products that the Australian market can use and enjoy. What you'll do Design and produce marketing collateral including product videos, illustrations, infographics, flyers, video presentations, posters, workbooks, graphics, icons, charts, and other visual assets and interactive media for our website. Support content calendars and campaigns across digital and email platforms. Keep all our brands fresh and consistent across all touchpoints. Work with a passionate, collaborative team to create content that makes a difference. Design and produce product packaging, collaborating with Creative Manager and factories to reach desired outcomes. Familiarise yourself with internal data entry system to extract data required for projects. Record, edit, and deliver videos for in‑house displays, roadshows, and product promotion. Ad hoc jobs, assisting Creative Manager where needed, customer requests, stock take, etc. About you You have a passion for, and knowledge about sewing, knitting and craft products. With a love for working across different mediums, from design and photography to video editing and motion graphics, you take pride in bringing campaigns to life from concept through to delivery. You are confident in managing multiple projects at once, balancing tight deadlines with high standards of quality and attention to detail. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you enjoy working closely with teammates and stakeholders to share ideas and shape creative outcomes. Good communication skills, both written and spoken. Discuss and negotiate designs with stakeholders to reach desired outcomes. You have hands‑on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro), and you are comfortable experimenting with new techniques to keep your work fresh. Photography and videography skills are part of your toolkit, and you know how to tailor creative for different brands and audiences. We'd love you to bring Experience and avid interest in the craft sewing and knitting industry. Relevant tertiary qualification in Multimedia, Publishing, Graphic or a related creative field is mandatory. 3+ years’ experience in multimedia or digital design. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite + Canva, CorelDraw, Mail Chimp. Experience using WordPress for ecommerce websites. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Comfortable working with Windows and Mac OS. Intermediate‑level proficiency in video/photography skills (shooting and editing on After Effects) is required. Animation/motion graphics and familiarity with email/automation. Additional experience in producing content for social platforms would be well looked upon (IG, FB, LinkedIn, YouTube).
