Requirements for this role Flexible hours available 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role Martha's Table is looking for experienced, passionate and creative chefs to join our culinary team. Full Time and Casual positions available. Martha's Table is located at Martha Cove Marina, on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, close to Safety Beach. This prestigious venue incorporates a state of the art Restaurant, Bar, Specialty Food Grocer and a Wine Cellar. Martha’s Table sources much of its produce from the Peninsula's finest farms, wineries and purveyors. The center of our offering is the region’s versatility while staying true to classic Mediterranean food and production methods. The produce-driven Mediterranean-influenced cuisine is centered around a spectacular wood fire-powered Tuscan Grill. In our food journey, our aim is to deliver refined cooking techniques, focusing on produce and bold flavours alike. Desired Skills and Experience A clear desire to learn and progress in the industry Sound knowledge and interest of food preparation techniques Experience in a la carte service Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to work well within a team Strong attention to detail Collaborative and talented professional About You Aspiration to succeed Excellent grooming standards Ensuring compliance with Food Hygienic standards Be a flexible, hands‑on, energetic and proactive professional Australian Resident Relevant trade qualification In this role you will Prepare and serve meals to a consistently high quality Perform tasks within a timely manner Contribute to Kitchen revenue through effective food cost control Provide support to the kitchen team Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with Head Chef's expectations Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross‑contamination Prepare all Mise en Place for all relevant menus Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships Comply with security, fire regulations and all food safety legislation This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed chef seeking further development with a progressive group that will appreciate and value your contribution.
