Job Description We are seeking experienced and skilled Heavy Machinery Diesel Motor Mechanics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have specialised expertise in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling diesel engines used in piling rigs and cranes. This role is crucial to ensuring our machinery operates efficiently and reliably on various job sites. Experience and Qualities 3+ years’ experience as a diesel motor mechanic Ability to operate and experience with Drill Rigs, Cranes and Excavator Machines essential On Site Welding experience highly regarded Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively. Ability to work effectively and competently with people at all levels in the organisation Contribute on an on‑going basis toward maintaining a safe working environment both for yourself and for those working with you or in your close vicinity Ability to work to deadlines and see tasks through to completion Daily Duties include Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on piling rigs and cranes. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Maintain, test and repair diesel motors and the mechanical parts of our diesel engine heavy machineries such as piling rigs, cranes and trucks and other heavy machines Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems. Test and ensure that machinery is operating correctly after repairs. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including proper storage of tools and equipment. Onsite welding and heavy equipment repair Prepare detailed reports of inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed. Communicate with site supervisors and operators to understand machinery issues and provide guidance. Working on site, responding to breakdowns, preparing equipment for shutdowns, conducting conveyor maintenance, and inspecting conveyors and associated components Monitor the performance of machinery and recommend improvements or upgrades. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at all times. Assist in the training of junior mechanics and other staff as needed.
