Project Director – Road Tunnel Project, Melbourne Join to apply for the Project Director role at UGL The Project Director will be responsible for delivering a major Road Tunnel Project in Melbourne. Responsibilities Deliver the project to schedule and cost as per the Project Deed, establishing strong governance and a capable team. Lead and develop teams to ensure appropriate delegation, growth and business outcomes. Monitor, control and ensure prudent management of the project budget, investigating discrepancies, forecasting costs and recommending cost‑saving initiatives. Implement and maintain control, planning and reporting systems that ensure milestones are met and demonstrate actual performance against target (time, cost, quality) and accurately forecast final outcomes. About you Appropriate tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Commercial or Project Management discipline. Substantial senior project leadership experience (minimum 15 years) in a major infrastructure project with an excellent understanding of project management principles and practices. Experience with road tunnel projects. Experience in all facets of project procurement and delivery, including civil earthworks, mechanical and electrical, plumbing and in‑ground services. Business and commercial acumen in a complex, multiple‑product, jurisdictionally diverse operation. Strong communication (oral & written), negotiation and influencing skills, and ability to establish effective relationships at all levels. Valid Australian driver’s licence.
