The department’s Governance team plays a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation operates with integrity, accountability and strategic alignment. By providing expert oversight and advice, the team drives compliance with legislative & policy requirements, manages organisational risks, & fosters a culture of transparency and ethical decision-making. Through collaboration and adaptive practice, the Governance team ensures the organisation operates within a robust governance framework, integrating the performance management frameworks, risk management frameworks, & planning frameworks to drive accountability and strategic alignment. By embedding these frameworks into decision-making and operational processes, the team ensures the organisation not only meets its obligations but also achieves its strategic objectives efficiently and sustainably, positioning it for long-term success. Responsibilities Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Apply specialised knowledge of program, governance and policy frameworks and records management systems to deliver organisational outcomes. Analyse and interpret complex information to provide sound recommendations that support compliance and strategic priorities. Develop resources to assist in program management, governance and compliance activities. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and innovative business solutions. Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve governance and business objectives. Operate independently to prioritise and manage tasks within established policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements, delivering high-quality results that align with performance standards. Contribute to Service Support and Corporate Division strategic priorities by providing administrative and operational support to advance organisational initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
