Product Development Manager

As a Product Development Manager, you will lead and oversee a variety of product development projects across multiple engineering disciplines. You will ensure the technical delivery of key project milestones, driving product success while maintaining strong client relationships. Working closely with a project coordinator, you will lead project teams and keep all stakeholders informed throughout the product development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Manage projects effectively, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines. Build and maintain relationships with clients through regular and transparent communication. Develop project plans and estimates based on client requirements. Proactively communicate with team members to identify issues, implement solutions, and improve efficiency. Analyse project economics and provide actionable feedback to management regarding cost benefits and profitability. Review and manage scope changes, coordinating with stakeholders to approve and implement beneficial adjustments. Oversee the procurement of resources and materials, negotiating with vendors as needed. Stay informed of industry trends and communicate proactively with clients to anticipate future project needs. Skills and Experience Australian citizen, permanent resident, or holder of a valid working visa. Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Electrical Engineering). Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management or product leadership. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of ISO 13485 & 9001 regulatory requirements for product development. Understanding of various production and manufacturing processes. Experience in evaluating and communicating with both local and offshore suppliers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
