APS6 Risk Advisor Pay Rate : $60.24 per hour + super Contract Term : 12 months with possible extension Location : Geelong Working Arrangement : Hybrid (mix of in-office and remote) Australian Citizenship is mandatory for this role. Randstad is currently partnering with a federal government agency to recruit a highly capable APS6 Risk Advisor. This is an exciting opportunity to support operational and strategic risk management for nationally significant service delivery. About the Role As an APS6 Risk Advisor, you will support a high-performing Risk & Audit team in managing operational and strategic risks across service delivery. You'll be responsible for applying risk frameworks, analysing trends, advising stakeholders, and contributing to enterprise-wide risk awareness and capability. This role requires a strong understanding of risk practices, stakeholder engagement, and governance reporting. Key Responsibilities Facilitate risk reviews and discussions with risk owners across operational and project areas. Apply the organisation's risk management framework to identify, assess, and manage risks. Analyse risk data and trends to support effective treatment planning and mitigation strategies. Assist in the delivery of risk training and education to improve capability across work areas. Liaise with internal risk and assurance teams to manage shared risks and ensure alignment. Contribute to internal risk reporting for executive and operational stakeholders. Provide administrative and system support for the risk management platform (e.g. IRMS). About You Experience in risk advisory, audit, governance, or compliance in a complex organisation. Strong understanding of risk frameworks and reporting tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to analyse data and contribute to strategic risk decisions. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities. Comfortable working independently within a policy-guided environment.
