Overview People in Payroll are partnering with a highly regarded ASX listed retail organisation in Melbourne. We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team. The base pay range is A$100,000.00/yr - A$110,000.00/yr . This range is provided by People in Payroll. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Key Duties End-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy across data entry, calculations, and deductions. Maintain employee data and profiles to the highest standard. Respond to and resolve payroll-related queries in a timely manner. Deliver regular reporting and payroll analytics, including inputs for board and committee papers. Manage and action tickets within agreed timeframes. Provide payroll insights and analysis to support business decision-making. Ideal Experience Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience in a high-volume environment (large teams or complex processing highly desirable). Previous exposure to the retail sector. Strong reporting, analytics, and manual payroll calculation skills. Experience with in-house payroll systems. Solid knowledge of EBAs and awards, with strong attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively within a team.
