Oral Health Therapist (Level 1/2) – Paediatric Dentistry Employment Type: Temporary Part Time; 16 hours per week up to January 2027 Position Classification: Oral Health Therapist Level 1/2 Remuneration: $38.51 – $54.94 per hour + annual leave loading + superannuation Location: Sydney Dental Hospital Requisition ID: REQ About the Role Sydney Dental Hospital (SDH) has been serving the local community since 1904. The Hospital is a centre of excellence and has been a key driver in shaping oral health and dental care in Australia. The role provides a professional level of service to patients in the Paediatric Department, exercising clinical expertise and judgment commensurate with the scope of practice of an experienced Oral Health Therapist Level 1/2. Ideal Candidate Registration as a Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Demonstrated confidence, expertise and broad general knowledge within the discipline commensurate with years of experience. Excellent ability to work as part of an effective clinical team. Good oral and written communication skills. Capability to manage patients and families from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, including frail, dependent and medically complex patients. Ability and interest in working with a wide variety of child and adult patients. Interest in the principles of public sector dentistry. Current NSW Driver’s Licence (P1 or P2 acceptable) with willingness to travel occasionally with Sydney LHD for work. Full working rights within Australia.
