About North Western Program Alliance North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of four Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals. Since 2017, the Victorian Government has entrusted North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) and our Alliance partners to remove dangerous and congested level crossings, deliver new rail stations and infrastructure, and create more community open spaces. Our Alliance currently has three projects in delivery and two in development phase, along with the successful delivery of ten level crossing removal projects (17LX) and several premium stations. NWPA are looking for a Survey Manager to join the alliance. About the Role To lead and manage the survey contractors working on the various projects across the alliance. Ensuring provision of comprehensive surveying services to the projects for all phases from early planning to design and completion. To ensure the survey contractors provide support in meeting the contractual requirements of the project. Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do; Manage and coordinate survey contractors to complete surveys and investigations of land surfaces. Management of structure, plans, specifications, standards and implications for project accountabilities. Utilise survey techniques and modern equipment when appropriate to ensure the tasks are completed in the most cost-effective way. Interpret project and technical documentation and monitor compliance with specifications. Lead, manage and monitor multiple survey contractors at any one time. Liaise with engineers and supervisors to ensure there is sufficient survey support planned for and allocated. Manage survey contractors to ensure survey resources are utilised efficiently across the various projects. Monitoring progress and quality of the survey contractor’s works. Act as an advisor to land surveying team regarding tasks and operations. Provide support to engineers to forecast survey costs for each project. Provide input into the development phase of upcoming projects. Work with the project teams to ensure documentation for PC is captured and submitted within the required time frames. This includes all required as-built and cadastral information. Check and maintain all legal requirements relating to surveying on the project. Have knowledge and understanding of legislation, systems, procedures and technology associated with the project surveying. To be successful in this role, you will have; Education: Any applicable tertiary qualification; Certificate II, III, or IV in Business Administration. Experience: Demonstrated Tier 1 experience in an office environment; Demonstrated years of experience in land, construction, or geodetic surveying; Experience providing support at a senior level; Basic knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Office Suite, relevant surveying software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, Leica, Trimble, or similar tools). Proficiency in using surveying instruments (Total Stations, GPS, Laser Scanners, and Digital Levels). Familiarity with local land regulations, zoning laws, and geospatial data management. Strong mathematical and analytical skills to interpret survey data accurately. As part of the team, you help us deliver on our promise to transform lives.
