Survey Manager – BMD Group Join BMD Group as a permanent full‑time Survey Manager and play a key role on complex projects across Sydney and regional New South Wales. About the Role You will be responsible for the planning and coordination of all survey‑related activities in conjunction with project engineering, design and construction teams. The role also includes supervision and support of all survey team members and any subcontract survey resources on site. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the Survey Management Plan (SMP). Lead and build a high‑performing survey team, ensuring compliance with project objectives and safety standards. Manage survey resources, equipment calibration and quality assurance. Oversee survey processes for design and construction activities, including control maintenance and as‑constructed data. Liaise with project managers, designers and external stakeholders to provide accurate survey information. Promote best practices, staff development and knowledge sharing within the team. Ensure that all Electronic Distance Measuring Equipment is calibrated annually in accordance with Appendix 6 – Surveyor General’s Directions #5 and Section 11.4.1 of the SMP. What you’ll bring Tertiary qualifications in surveying or spatial science. Minimum 10 years of surveying experience, with at least 5 years in civil construction and civil set‑out (experience on Defence projects highly regarded).
