Your daily compensation will be based on your years of training and experience, ensuring fair recognition for your dedication JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title : Emergency Relief Teacher Job Type : Casual Salary Classification : NT Christian Schools ERT Scale ERT1 – ERT3 Salary Range : – $ p / hr depending on qualifications and experience, plus superannuation contribution of 11.5% of your annual salary Reporting to : Principal Date Advertised : January Introduction NT Christian Schools is a Christian organisation dedicated to advancing the Christian faith through education and religious instruction. Teachers must model the highest commitment to the Lord, the Bible, and schooling from a distinctly Christian perspective. Teachers will support the teaching of the Australian curriculum through a biblical worldview, lead staff and student devotions and prayer time, and share personal testimonies. Modeling an authentic Christian life is a core requirement of the role, contributing significantly to the maintenance of the religious ethos of the school. Primary Role Teachers are expected to assist the principal in building and maintaining a strength-based learning community within the college. The teacher's role is to work in partnership with parents to provide students with the nurture and opportunities needed to reach their full potential in a purposefully designed learning environment. Within this community, teachers are expected to : Model Christian principles by example, acting consistently with NT Christian Schools' Policies and Procedures. Teach religious education in a manner aligned with NT Christian Schools' beliefs. Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare teaching programs that incorporate a biblical perspective, meeting the unique needs of students and producing significant educational outcomes aligned with the College scope. Continuously expand pedagogical competence in current teaching practices, classroom management, and behavioural support skills. Maintain accurate records related to classroom performance for report creation, assessment development, and mandatory government reports. Work collaboratively as part of a flexible, excellence-driven team. Use technology, including computers, online platforms, and data management software, or be willing to learn these tools. Maintain accreditation and compliance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST). Participate in administration, review, development, and delivery of educational programs and co-curricular activities. Support campus duties such as attending school camps, assemblies, and supervising playground, lunch, recess, and detention. Undertake other duties as directed by the Principal. Selection Criteria A committed Christian actively involved in your local church. Ability to effectively model Christian values as expressed in the Policies and Procedures of NT Christian Schools, giving an authentic witness to those values. Ability to incorporate biblical perspectives in creating an environment that enhances student outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a relational, empowering approach to working with students, staff, parents, and the broader community. Pastorally committed to creating a caring environment for students. Ability to meet the job requirements as outlined. Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience for the position. A growing knowledge of your learning area, pedagogy, and educational innovations. Willingness to learn, grow, and accept coaching and feedback in pursuit of excellence. Further Requirements Must hold a valid Working with Children (Ochre) Card. Must have a valid NT police check within the last 12 months, or provide an invoice of order for one. Must hold current NT Teachers Registration. Must hold a current NT Driver's License. Willingness to obtain and hold a current First Aid Certificate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
