Men's Shed Volunteer, Residential Aged Care Home, Cardiff NSW Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Hunter NSW. As you visit and spend time with elderly male residents at HammondCare Cardiff, you'll help with activities to build friendship amongst the male residents. Some common activities include cooking at BBQ, card games with tea/coffee cake and an occasional beer and chips. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Category Seniors & Aged Care Commitment Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required One hour per week or fortnight for 6 months or longer. We can discuss a suitable time Monday to Friday between 9am-4pm.
