If you don\u2019t see an opportunity in your area, please call or email Responsibilities Assist one to two days per week to keep the Residential Care Home looking its best. Tidy up gardens, prune, and collect site rubbish. Perform minor repairs or maintenance and change light globes. Check BBQs and perform pressure washing of paths as needed. Re-arrange storerooms, paint, and lubricate door locks. Your impact Volunteering as a Maintenance Handyperson Volunteer can be a rewarding experience, both for the people you interact with as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. In your daily tasks and routine, you will cross paths with residents interested in what you are doing and who love a chat. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
