This role handles all accounts, sales/purchase orders and admin related tasks involved in the purchase of green coffee beans from around the world - from invoicing orders (domestic and international) and chasing up outstanding payments, to entering products into our system and on our website, to general admin support for our team. We buy and sell in AUD and USD so ability to understand, record and reconcile multi-currency and international transactions is critical. Project Origin sources exceptional quality green coffee beans from over a hundred producers in over eighteen countries. Advertised as Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 3.00pm; 25 hours with 30 min lunch break. NOTE: We're open to offering flexible or varied hours and job description to suit the right candidate. This role also has scope to increase hours once probation period has ended. Based in Fyshwick, ACT. Candidate must be Canberra based and available to work in office. Flexible working conditions like working from home are an option once probation period has ended. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Daily invoicing and dispatch of orders from our Canberra based warehouse to our Australian customers. Liaise with the sales team and warehouse manager to ensure clear communication on all orders. Accurately input data into accounting system and run reports as required. Reconcile bank accounts against bank statements. Follow up outstanding receivable accounts and keep all customers within terms. Accurately record and report on payables to suppliers. Be customer facing physically and electronically and represent the Project Origin values at all times. Receive and handle all incoming phone calls. Maintain stock of office items and replenish as needed. Organise courier shipments as required – DHL and Fed Ex. Handle the tracking, receiving and sending of parcels and mail. Assist with logistics and document handling of imports/exports as required or instructed by the Logistics Manager. Assist the Project Origin team with travel arrangements and event organisation as requested. Attend, and as appropriate, contribute to meetings as required by management. Any other duties as required by management. Depending on Experience: Assist in financial reporting, review and make recommendations to management. Assist in financial reports to stakeholders as requested.
