APS6 Senior Complaints Officer Join the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) as a Senior Complaints Officer (APS6). The role is part of the Governance team and can be based in any ART office across Australia. Remuneration Base pay range: A$94,563.00 – A$106,394.00 per year, plus a 15.4% employer superannuation contribution. About the opportunity The Senior Complaints Officer works within the Governance section and is part of a small national team responsible for managing external complaints received by ART. Working alongside the Assistant Director Complaints, the role primarily involves: Assessing, investigating and responding to complaints from ART users, representatives, or members of the public. Liaising with complainants and internal stakeholders. Preparing reports for senior management and promoting best‑practice complaint handling. Mentoring and supervising junior staff in the team. Applying a trauma‑informed, empathetic approach when dealing with sensitive or traumatic experiences. About you To be successful you will: Have highly developed analytical, investigative and problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify issues, trends and risks. Display resilience, professionalism and sensitivity when handling complex, potentially confronting material and stakeholder interactions. Be capable of supervising junior staff and working effectively within a small team. Possess an in‑depth understanding, or the ability to quickly acquire, of ART’s legislative framework, jurisdiction and operations. Be an Australian citizen; all employees must undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and complete a health declaration. Have relevant qualifications, training or experience in complaint management.
