Mental Health ClinicianPsychology / Mental Health Geraldton, Western Australia Permanent About the role We are looking to welcome Mental Health Clinicians to our Mid-West team operating in Geraldton, Western Australia This is an opportunity for experienced clinicians to join our dedicated team to deliver Integrated Primary Mental Health Care for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people. This includes low intensity psychological intervention (LIPI), psychological therapy and care coordination. It requires exemplary clinical skills to set a high standard for the team of person‑centred, evidence‑based, and relationship‑based therapeutic intervention, and an ability to provide high‑quality supervision and mentoring within the team setting. Team members travel periodically, including overnight stays, to connect with communities in the wider Mid‑West health region such as in Three Springs, Meekatharra and Carnarvon. What we are looking for / being successful in the role Tertiary qualification in Psychology (with AHPRA registration) or Social Work (with AASW registration and accreditation as a Mental Health Social Worker). Highly developed knowledge and skills in assessment and counselling using a range of evidence-based therapeutic models. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships. Excellent written communication skills particularly in the development of quality treatment plans, case notes and progress reports. A current full drivers' license (essential), National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Worker registration. Starting 250km north of Perth the region extends along the iconic coastline from Green Head north to Kalbarri and inland to Meekatharra and Sandstone. Geraldton is a thriving and growing community at the heart of Australia’s Coral Coast with an economy centred around tourism, fishing, agriculture, mining, and construction. The Mid‑West is home to diverse landscapes – stunning coastline, pristine beaches, limestone cliffs, vibrant wildflowers, national parks and the outback experience – including the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Shark Bay and the Ningaloo Coast. Geraldton is well connected by road and air to Perth and destinations north. Positions are offered as full-time but applications for 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) may be considered. Starting rate based on the qualifications and experience you bring to the role.
