Position: Instrumental Music Instructor – Year 7‑12 (Clarinet / Flute) Classification: Education Support Responsible to: Principal & The Director of Music Time Fraction: 0.4 = 2 Day / 15.20 Hours Contact for the position: Harry Ruff – ***********@education.vic.gov.au Selection Criteria KSC1: Demonstrated capacity to provide individual, small group and ensemble instruction in clarinet and flute. KSC2: Demonstrated capacity to work and collaborate with others in a team environment. KSC3: Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively in a team environment, including high‑level oral and written communication skills. KSC4: Demonstrated technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position. KSC5: Demonstrated capacity to provide advice and support to leadership and others school staff in respect to the work area. KSC6: Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and growth for both self and others. Responsibilities Research, plan and prepare development programmes for support staff. Administer training to school staff in specialist professional support areas, e.g. therapy, social work and psychology services. Manage recruitment procedures. Provide authoritative advice to the leadership team on support structures and work practices. Assist in the development of work practices that ensure appropriate occupational health and safety standards are maintained. Manage procedures relating to employee relations issues.
