THE ROLE We support a leading developer of analytics and AI software, supporting government programs that rely on secure, trusted technology to deliver meaningful public outcomes. As a SAS Platform Administrator, you’ll ensure the stability, performance, and security of SAS 9.4 and Viya environments, supporting critical data‑driven decisions. This role suits someone with strong SAS administration experience who enjoys managing complex systems and optimising their performance. Duties include, but are not limited to: Administering, maintaining and supporting SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya platforms across production and non‑production environments Monitoring system health, automating routine tasks, and optimising performance Managing user access, security configurations, and environment performance monitoring Applying patches, upgrades, and configuration changes in line with change management processes Maintaining system documentation, operational procedures, and environment diagrams Troubleshooting platform and infrastructure issues in collaboration with internal teams and vendors Supporting migration and integration activities between SAS environments ESSENTIAL CRITERIA A minimum of 5 years' experience administering SAS platforms (SAS 9.4 and Viya) Demonstrated experience working in Unix/Linux environments, including scripting and troubleshooting Strong understanding of infrastructure concepts (servers, storage, networking) Proven ability to manage and maintain complex analytical platforms in a secure environment Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Hold an active AGSVA NV1 security clearance WHY JOIN AVENTIOUS?
