Medical Receptionist / Customer Service Assistant - PT Shire Doctors and Dentists – Caringbah NSW Shire Doctors and Dentists is seeking an experienced, friendly, and proactive Receptionist / Customer Service Assistant to join our medical centre in Caringbah, NSW. This casual/part-time, on‑site role is ideal for an individual passionate about customer service and patient care who excels in a fast‑paced environment. What You'll Be Doing Greeting patients with a professional and welcoming manner Managing patient appointments and coordinating schedules for our medical and dental teams Handling patient inquiries, phone calls, and emails in a prompt and courteous manner Processing patient billing, payments, and ensuring accurate financial transactions Supporting administrative tasks such as data entry, records management, and filing Keeping the waiting area and reception clean and organised Liaising with healthcare professionals, patients, and external contacts as needed What We Are Looking For Excellent customer service skills with a patient‑focused approach Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask effectively High‑level communication and interpersonal skills Professional presentation and a positive attitude Discretion and respect for patient confidentiality Previous experience in a healthcare setting or medical reception is desirable; however, candidates with strong customer service backgrounds and a passion for patient care are encouraged to apply and will benefit from our supportive team to enhance their skill sets Desired but not essential Experience in a similar role, ideally within the healthcare industry Understanding of healthcare regulations, policies and procedures Proficient in using Best Practice management software, Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems What we offer Shire Doctors and Dentists is a leading provider of high‑quality healthcare services in the local community.
