Finance Manager – Head of Finance Function Lamson Concepts Pty Ltd – Sydney, NSW Full-time | Senior Leadership | Head of Finance Function Lead the finance function for one of Australia’s most trusted automation specialists. Lamson Concepts is a long-established Australian business providing automated transport and logistics solutions to hospitals, retailers, aged-care providers, and commercial facilities nationwide. Our systems include pneumatic tube systems (PTS), automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), pharmacy automation, and custom-engineered logistics systems—helping essential facilities move smarter, faster, and more reliably. As Lamson enters an exciting phase of growth in the automation industry, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function—leading financial operations, reporting, governance, and strategy. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead all aspects of Lamson’s finance function, managing an outsourced finance team of four and ensuring robust control, compliance, and insight. You will deliver timely, accurate financial reports, and manage cashflow and budgets, and prepare comprehensive Board packs that provide clear insights to support strategic decision-making and drive business performance. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage Lamson’s outsourced finance team (4 staff). Manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Prepare and present detailed Board reporting packs and analysis. Deliver monthly management accounts and commercial insights to the GM. Manage cashflow, debtors, and working capital. Drive process improvement and automation in financial systems. Partner with operational teams to analyse project performance and margins. Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (BAS, super, payroll tax etc.). Oversee outsourced payroll process and related reporting. About You Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce 8+ years’ experience in finance, including leadership or head-of-function roles. Strong technical expertise in reporting, cashflow, budgeting, forecasting and compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Experience managing outsourced or hybrid finance teams. Commercially minded and confident in communicating with senior management and Boards. Experience in project-based or technical service industries highly regarded.
