Based in Sydney, this Joinery Project Manager role offers the opportunity to manage and oversee all aspects of joinery projects from tender through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Joinery Project Manager acts as the key point of contact between clients, design teams, workshop, site teams, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Management: Manage multiple joinery projects concurrently from design through manufacture to installation. Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, and resource plans. Coordinate workshop production schedules with project timelines. Conduct regular progress meetings and issue project reports. Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors. Ensure clear communication and proactive problem-solving throughout project delivery. Manage client expectations and variations effectively. Technical & Design Coordination Review drawings, specifications, and joinery details for accuracy and buildability. Coordinate with design, CAD, and manufacturing teams to ensure information flow and design integrity. Approve materials, finishes, and samples in line with project and client requirements. Quality & Compliance Ensure all works meet company and industry quality standards. Oversee WHS compliance and manage project documentation including SWMS and ITPs. Manage snagging and handover processes efficiently. Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking. Assess and manage variations, claims, and progress payments. Identify and implement value engineering opportunities. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Project Manager in the joinery, fit-out, tiling or construction industry. Strong understanding of bespoke joinery manufacture and installation processes. Experience working with AutoCAD drawings and technical joinery details. Excellent organisation, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of budgets and cost control. Knowledge of construction health & safety regulations. Competent with Hammer tech, Excel, and other project management tools. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field. White Card (Construction Induction). Current First Aid and/or Site Safety accreditation (preferred). Personal Attributes Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication skills across clients, stakeholders, and providers. Detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Professional, reliable, and results driven. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
