Emerald Planet Environmental – Frenchs Forest NSW The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement of goods across international borders, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant transportation. This role involves working closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal departments to plan shipments, prepare documentation, and resolve logistics issues. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and monitor shipments (air, ocean, and land) to ensure on-time delivery. Work closely with sales, production, finance and customer service to plan, manage and optimise domestic transportation routes. Review shipping documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations as required. Submit regulatory reports to government on relevant products such as refrigerant. Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and resolve issues. Manage relationships with local couriers, freight forwarders and 3PL warehouse teams to ensure customer service levels are maintained. Liaise with 3PL warehouse teams to ensure receiving, put away, packing and dispatch processes are performed as per SLAs. Track and trace shipments; provide status updates to internal stakeholders and customers. Manage and report on logistics costs, monitor freight rates, and support budget control. Maintain accurate shipping records and update logistics databases or ERP systems. Lead and ensure the internal QC process is adhered to and optimised. Handle claims for lost or damaged goods and assist with corrective actions as required. Continuously seek opportunities to optimise logistics processes and improve supply chain efficiency.
