Position OverviewThe HR Business Partner will report to the VP, HR and work with the business leaders as they advance the company’s overall vision and mission through operations. This function will support day to day HR needs for the employees in Australia offices. Tamboran is committed to continuing to building a presence in the NT as it expands its program so the position may require occasional travel to the NT.Description of Service and Expectations:Perform as a business partner to the management team and employees in the Australia locations;Review, interpret, administer and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and company policies and procedures;Ensure an environment that is aware of inclusion and diversity efforts;Assist VP, HR in the new hire recruitment process, including preparation of job descriptions, advertising, resume screening, interview scheduling, and managing the Employee Referral Process;Assist the Operations team in extending and renewing agreements, and tracking external Contractors as needed;Manage employee onboarding including provisioning of equipment, systems, and getting acclimated into the Tamboran business;Oversee communications with payroll including set up of new hires, monthly pay run exceptions and employee time tracking;Manage employee leaves of absence, including policies, required documentation, payroll practices and other related matters;Assist VP, HR with employee communications and letter preparation;Manage day to day, as well as complex employee relations matters and performance management;Assist with administration of training programs;Remain abreast of local best practices to develop and support capabilities and culture within the organization, andPerform other reasonable duties as requested.Preferred Minimum Candidate Requirements:Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of related human resources service, preferably in the energy industry;University degree in human resources, or similar tertiary program required.Experienced and proficient with oral and written communications including public speaking;Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including advanced use of Powerpoint;Ability to work effectively with employees in remote locations and work schedules;Effective in managing multiple tasks, while maintaining work quality in tight deadlines;Occasional travel to the NT and other Australia offices is expected.All Tamboran positions will require successful pre-employment criminal checks as well as background and drug testing.
