Human Resources Business Partner

Michael Hill is a market-leading premium jewellery group with a network of 280 stores across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. We are looking for experienced HR Business Partners to join our team at our state-of-the-art Global Support Centre in Cannon Hill, Brisbane.
We have two exciting opportunities available:
- An 8-month full-time parental leave contract.
- A full-time permanent position due to business growth.
As an HR Business Partner at Michael Hill, you will:
- Create outstanding experiences for our internal customers by providing timely, effective, people-focused solutions to challenges.
- Partner with leadership and other HR functions to ensure client groups are appropriately resourced to support business objectives.
- Identify areas of opportunity within client groups, develop strategies to rectify issues, and execute solutions using data and HR metrics.
- Develop and conduct training on HR-related topics for client groups.
- Proactively be involved in retention, talent management, and succession planning strategies.
- Conduct investigations, prepare reports in line with company grievance procedures and policies, and provide guidance on policy interpretation and support to team members.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Advisory or Business Partner role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Retail Award, and other relevant employment law.
- Proven track record of supporting and coaching leaders in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations.
- Ability to critically analyze HR data, strong time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience in dealing with a large and geographically diverse client base.
- Retail, Hospitality, or FMCG experience is desirable but not essential.
