Australian Department of Defence – Bandiana VIC $86,887 - $93,066 + up to 15.4% Superannuation The Role This role is accountable for a variety of activities including the development of plans, forecasting of future workload and inventory requirements and repair parts to support the sustainment and acquisition of logistics. Implementing and ensuring compliance with policy, processes and procedures to support the sustainment of equipment. Providing responses to complex correspondence, briefs and reports for delegate consideration. Managing budgets in support of various fleets and equipment. Collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts to resolve materiel logistics issues and the application of expertise and initiative to identify alternate courses of action. About our Team Joint Logistic Unit-Victoria (JLU-V) delivers logistics services: including warehousing, distribution and material maintenance to Defence customers nationally and overseas. The regional sustainment team is responsible for managing items of supply on behalf of stock owners. The team is pivotal in managing items of supply on behalf of stock owners and in managing Defence platforms and commodities both existing and new. JLU-V offers training and mentoring, flexible working conditions, a broad variety of work and the opportunity to challenge yourself in a fast paced environment. Our Ideal Candidate The skills we seek from you are: Capable of interpreting legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence mission and policy requirements to apply processes and procedures. Skilled and experienced in providing detailed materiel logistics technical and professional advice in relation to complex work. A team player who supports the team through coaching, feedback and developing others. Capable to exercise financial responsibilities to achieve outcomes for Defence.
