Senior Analyst – NGO Accountability Location: Parramatta Employment type: Ongoing full-time role Salary: $129,464.00 pa – $142,665.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Job overview: The Senior Analyst – NGO Accountability supports the delivery of financial reviews, audits, and assurance activities for funded NGO service providers within the Department of Communities and Justice. Working under the guidance of the Manager, NGO Accountability, the role contributes to the annual accountability process, provides financial analysis and advice to contract managers, and helps ensure compliance with funding agreements. Responsibilities Analyse financial information and reports to support the coordination of audits and financial accountability. Provide financial insights and advice to contract managers and key stakeholders. Assist in managing fraud and corruption risks and strengthen financial oversight frameworks. Prepare analytical reports on accountability data to influence decision‑making and policy formulation. Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving transparency, governance, and financial accountability across funded programs. Support continuous improvement initiatives for financial accountability. Qualifications Finance or accounting professional with experience in nonprofit financial management and prudential oversight. Understanding of accounting standards, risk management frameworks, and audit practices within government‑funded environments. Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., degree in Finance or Accounting) or equivalent knowledge.
