Your next career opportunity As a Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality clinical teaching and learning experiences at the Mercy Hospital for Women. Your responsibilities will include: Deliver Engaging Clinical Teaching: Facilitate bedside clinical skills coaching, case-based discussions, and simulation sessions. Contribute to Student Assessment: Prepare and mark examinations, evaluate portfolio tasks, and participate in clinical assessments. Participate in Curriculum Development: Assist in designing and updating the OGN program to meet educational objectives. Engage in Professional Development: Attend training programs and participate in peer observation to enhance teaching effectiveness. Currently, each year approximately 350 medical students spend 6 weeks (across 6 rotations) attached to the Department during the third year of their medical course. In addition, there are graduate research students pursuing full-time or part-time research through the Department. These include Honours, Master of Biomedical Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy students. In Quarter 3 of 2021, there were approximately 30 graduate research students enrolled in the Department undertaking their PhD, including 5 under examination.
