Role Overview Join Arcare Aged Care as a Nurse Unit Manager (Grade 4B Registered Nurse) for a short‑term contract from 12 January 2026 to 29 March 2026, Wednesday to Friday (07:00–15:00). This position involves overseeing care for a 90‑bed unit, leading a highly inspired team, and ensuring the highest standards of resident care and safety. As a Nurse Unit Manager you will create a supportive, positive work environment while delivering compassionate, competent care. Key Responsibilities Resident Care: Ensure delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care addressing medical, physical and emotional needs. Staff Supervision: Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff. Care Planning: Oversee development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident. Medication Management: Administer and manage medications in adherence to prescribed schedules and protocols. Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents’ families or legal guardians, providing updates and involving them in care decisions when appropriate. Skills & Experience Current AHPRA registration. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in aged care as a Registered Nurse. Knowledge of aged care accreditation standards. Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC. Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation. Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
